A native of Orlando, Katie Miller Witter has worked in the investment and financial services industry since 2002. After acting as Vice President of a boutique wealth management firm for nearly 8 years, Katie chose to become a partner with Financial Harvest Wealth Advisors to better align her philosophy of care with how she helps clients. Katie and her husband, David, co-owners of the firm, work as an Advisor team assisting clients in setting and achieving their long-term financial goals through investment strategy and planning. Katie’s expansive network has allowed the team to produce strategic partnerships with other professionals to help their clients with preserving their wealth, mitigating taxes, transferring wealth to loved ones efficiently, medical care planning, asset protection, and charitable gifting.
Katie, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) candidate, graduated with Honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Finance and Marketing. She further achieved a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Rollins College Crummer School of Business in Winter Park, Florida. As a professional woman and wife, she understands the complexities and challenges that lie in these roles, and acknowledges the unique needs faced by women today. This allows her to better understand the concerns of today’s women and brings an added level of substance and comfort to her female clients. Due to her identity and trustworthiness in this role, Katie was asked to contribute the Resourceful Column in Brite Magazine. Her featured articles included: "Keeping the Jingle in Your Holidays" "Six Steps to Financial Freedom"
Katie is also a CERTIFIED SUCCESSION PLANNERTM, a designation awarded and administered by the International Succession Planning Association (ISPA). Her association with the ISPA and other succession planning professionals provides business owner clients with superior capacities to maximize and monetize their enterprise value.
In addition to serving clients through financial advisory services, Katie coordinates marketing efforts, client events and investment opportunity workshops. She stays current with economic data through training, education seminars, and advisor conferences.
Mrs. Witter is on the Crummer Graduate School of Business Alumni Board of Directors, the Downtown YMCA Board, Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA), participates in the Crummer School Mentor Program, and is involved in such local organizations as the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce, Special Olympics and Camp Boggy Creek. Katie is also a graduate of Leadership Orlando and Leadership Winter Park.
Katie is married and lives with her husband, David, and son William, in Winter Park. She enjoys running, working out, reading, and being involved with her First Presbyterian Church of Orlando faith community.
